Kerry Hedahl, Obituary Everett Herald

I am sorry to report the death of classmate Kerry Hedahl, on Oct 8, 2018. Here is his obituary from the Everett Herald.

Here's the text: June 18, 1952 - October 8, 2018 Kerry Charles Hedahl, 66, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Providence Hospital in Everett, WA. He spent the last few weeks of his life with family and friends before succumbing to cancer. Kerry was born on June 18, 1952 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He grew up in Snohomish, WA, with his parents, Phyllis (Bobbie) and Irvin Hedahl. He was the third oldest child in his family being younger brother to Perry and Linda and older brother to sister, Marlene. His family was active in Scouting and Kerry earned his Eagle Scout. The skills he learned as a scout helped him enjoy all the outdoor adventures he had. Kerry graduated from Snohomish High School in 1970. He started working for Bickford Motors in Snohomish and then went to work for Motor Trucks, Inc. in Everett. Kerry married Cindy Tenney in 1974 and was blessed with two children, Jillian and Shayne. He was the owner and master mechanic at Eagle Truck and Equipment in Lake Stevens, WA. Kerry later worked for Viking Equipment and then started the company Viking Rentals in Smokey Point before retiring in 2000. Kerry married Anita McCall in 1998. He moved into her family home on Camano Island, WA, with her children Ben, Sarah, and Matt. Kerry's greatest joys in life were his family vacations, his dogs, hunting, camping and fishing. The start of a good story from Kerry always revolved around some or all of his greatest joys. Some he shared often were...Sing-a-long weenie roasts, "the biggest buck you ever saw," "I was told not to kick that bucket" and "I lost that lure when." He is survived by his wife and best fishing partner, Anita, and their five children, Jillian Hedahl (Jeff) Sorenson, Ben (Jaimi) McCall, Shayne (Brittney) Hedahl, Sarah Remick and her partner Jeffrey Harnden, Matt (Shannon) McCall; ten grandchildren, and sister, Marlene (Steve) Maier Arnhold. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobbie Tuengel and Irvin Hedahl; his brother, Perry Hedahl and sister, Linda (Mac and Bill) Newman. A Celebration of Life will be held November 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 10120 Chapel Hill Road, Lake Stevens, WA 98258.
