Wallace (Quackenbush), Randy


I live near Black Diamond Washington. I was a touring musician from 1971 until 1990 when I started working for Nordstrom. I was there until 2006.

I am married and have 2 daughters, Chloe' is a Music Education Major at University of Puget Sound and Eden is in 10th. grade at Bellarmine Prep. in Tacoma.

I also had a son Creed who was born in 1975 and was killed in a car accident in 1993.

Presently I am playing music Full time and doing non profit work in Christian Camping for Kids.

The group generally performs as a trio but is able to easily modify its format for any venue, drawing from a "collective" of musicians -- from duo, trio, dance/vocal band, to a variety act with full horn section -- to suit your entertainment needs. This highly-skilled and sought-after group of musicians has been providing a unique musical experience in the Northwest since 1993. The core members of “THE COLLECTIVE” are: W. Michael Jaap, Garey Williams, and Randall Wallace. These musicians have each performed with countless national artists throughout the United States and internationally as well.




Randall Wallace - Highly acclaimed guitarist, providing a stylistic approach to all genres of music. Randall's professional career has spanned three decades, working with regional and national artists in virtually every musical style. Randall has performed with such greats as Albert Collins, Ramsey Lewis, Jose Feliciano, Dionne Warwick, Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers, Buddy Miles and more. Randall's signature guitar style is classic and effortless, giving each genre of music the precise musical "touch".



W. Michael Jaap - International performing artist, across all genres and venues. Expert proficiency in piano, synthesizer, Hammond and Pipe organ, vocals, drums, percussion, bass guitar, harmonica, trombone, computer synthesis, PLUS both studio and live engineering. Professionally, Michael has done it all, from opening for likes of Albert Collins, Deep Purple, Tower of Power, The Pointer Sisters, Lou Rawls, Ray Charles, Rod Stewart, Aaron Neville, George Benson to sharing the same stage with James Brown, B.B. King, Diane Shurr, The Temptations, Rich Dangel, Bud Shank, Stanley Turrentine, Bochinche, and Ernie Watts, just to name a few. Michael's recording credits are as impressive as his live performances. Three of his favorites are: "Perfectly Korla," Korla Wygal, “Got No One”, Jade Williams, and "C'est Si Bon," Neil Andersson. Michael has also composed, produced, and arranged various projects for film and other mediums.



Garey Williams - A world-class drummer and uniquely gifted educator. With over thirty years playing experience, Garey has received attention from international publications and well known drummers. Percussive Notes said: “Williams sounds like a combination of Vinnie Colaiuta and Peter Erskine.” Modern Drummer said: "Garey Williams displays a beautiful touch and emotion in his drumming...possesses noteworthy chops..." With a graduate background in Drumset, Percussion Performance and Jazz Studies at Central Washington University, drummer Williams has been a fixture in the Northwest scene, having performed with such musicians as Diana Krall, Kristin Korb, Bud Shank, Barney McClure, Howard Roberts, Joe Williams, Bill Watrous, Ray Brown, Cedar Walton, Milt Jackson, Dizzy Gillespie and others. Garey has produced and recorded two solo CDs and is featured on numerous regional and national recordings.
